Routing

Routing is created to describe all the Operations necessary to manufacture a Product. Operations can be mandatory or optional and must take place in a Work Center. You can optionally specify the Setup and Run time and Resources required for each Operation. A Routing can be defined for any BOM product. Routings are specific to a warehouse. You can mark one Routing as the default per Product per warehouse. This Routing is automatically defaulted in Production Orders. You can also mark one Routing as the default per Product for the Cost Rollup process.

Define the Routing name and select the Product details to be manufactured.
Select the Attribute Set Instance of the Product.
Select the warehouse details.

Select the Cost and default details as per your requirements.
Select the Operation details as per the required system will update the Setup time and Resources details.
If we want to make the Operation as optional then provision is provided on the system.

Production Order

Define a Production Order to track assembly of a product. Enter a product assembly and quantity and then select a BOM and Routing to describe the component requirements and manufacturing operations. Pick a warehouse and locator where the finished product assembly will be stored.

Define the Production class rule in order to define the Production Order. Click on the Production Class tab on the header window and define the production rule.
Select the Organization, Production Rule, Warehouse, Product, BOM & Routing details.
Enter the Qty details to be manufactured.

If the Source of the Production Order is Sales Order, after selection of Sales Order & Order line, System automatically fetch the Product details along with Order Quantity from the selected Sales Order line.
Click on the Copy Work Operation Requirements, system will run the process to copy all the Operation & Resources details required to complete the required Production Order qty. And copy all the Components required completing the required Production Order qty.

Calculation will happen automatically system will bring the required qty on the three windows: - Operation, Component & Resource.

Production Order should be in progress stage still all the operation will not completed.

Production Execution

Production Execution is a stage where actual operation run details can be recorded in the system, with their actual start and end date; order can be executed partial and full based on the requirement.

Component issue to the work order / Production order.

While running this process system will reduce the Inventory for the BOM Component assigned to the parent Product.

Transfer Assembly to Store.

After running this process system will ask to quantity details to enter in the system, once completed, transfer the quantity at warehouse level.

Select the Organization, Warehouse.
Select the Production Order against which the Production execution is processing
System auto fetch, Transaction Date, Account Date, Product, Attribute set Instance, Business Partner, Locator and Quantity defined in the Production Order.

Click on ‘Create Component Txn Lines’ button and system will create all Transaction lines from Production Order under Component Transaction Lines tab.
System calculates Actual Quantity from all the Transaction Lines and enters in Actual Quantity field in header.
After Running the Process system will update the Qty at the warehouse level.

While running the production excution stages , details of every stage will be updated on the Production order , Operation , Component , Resouse window. As shown at the below screen short.

Quantity Queued: - Required Qty entered in the system for the Operation run.
Quantity Run: - Qty in the operation run stage not completed but in progress.
Quantity Assembled: - Qty Transfer to warehouse or at Store level.
Quantity Scraped: - Qty scrap during the operation run.
