The system has a predefined default customer. But you can set a different default customer on each terminal or you can have one default customer for the entire store.It is important to know that the POS allows you to specify the customers and personalize the order. In this way you can customize the details you collect from your customers according to your specific business needs.<\/em><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Searching the Customer List<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>If you have already entered a number of customers in the POS system, you can access a specific customers in 2 ways:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>By using the <strong>\u201cSearch\u201d button<\/strong> and then typing the name of the customer, or<\/li>\n<li>By <strong>scanning the customer card<\/strong> that you have issued. After scanning the card, customer details will automatically appear on the screen<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-500 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/viennaadvantage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Customer-List-1024x732.png\" alt=\"Customer-List-VIENNA-Advantage-POS\" width=\"840\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onfinity.io\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Customer-List-1024x732.png 1024w, https:\/\/onfinity.io\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Customer-List-300x214.png 300w, https:\/\/onfinity.io\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Customer-List-1170x836.png 1170w, https:\/\/onfinity.io\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Customer-List.png 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 840px) 100vw, 840px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0084c4;\"><strong>Order Section<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>VIENNA Advantage Point of Sale System<\/strong> is already integrated with the POS standard hardware such as bar code readers, electronic scales, printers and other devices for completing the order.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the \u201cOrder Section\u201d of our <a title=\"VIENNA Advantage POS\" href=\"https:\/\/onfinity.io\/point-of-sale-pos-solution.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">POS Solution<\/a> you can see and manage the ordered (scanned) products. When product is scanned it appears as a new line in the \u201cOrder Section\u201d. Each line provides the following information about the product:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Product Name<\/li>\n<li>Quantity<\/li>\n<li>Unit Price<\/li>\n<li>Discount (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Total amount<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can change the quantity of the product by clicking on the \u201c+\u201d and \u201c-\u201c buttons. This feature helps retailers increase their sales revenue through cross-selling and up-selling techniques. You are probably eager to learn how a single <a title=\"VIENNA Advantage POS Features\" href=\"https:\/\/onfinity.io\/point-of-sale-pos-solution.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">POS feature<\/a> can increase the sales revenue?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Well, imagine a situation where your apparels store has a -20% promotion for all shirts when a customer buys a specific brand of shoes. When the cashier is in the scanning flow of products, and he\/she scans that specific brand of shoes, he\/she automatically gets alert in the \u201cOffered Products\u201d field for the current promotion. In this way the cashier can offer the promotion to the customer and an additional sale can be achieved. You can set the product promotion as a discount in: percentage (%) or amount ($).<\/p>\n<p><strong>There are several benefits of this POS feature:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cashier will never forget to offer the promotion to the customer<\/li>\n<li>Potential revenue-increase because of the increase in the sales<\/li>\n<li>Increased customer retention through \u201csurprise\u201d product promotions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Same product, 2 different bar codes<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today it is very usual to find same products with different barcodes in a supermarket. The reason for this situation is because the supplier for that product is purchasing the product from let\u2019s say 2 different manufacturing sites in 2 different countries. The EAN number is country based, therefore it will differ, although the product is same. <a title=\"VIENNA Advantage POS\" href=\"https:\/\/onfinity.io\/point-of-sale-pos-solution.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">VIENNA Advantage POS<\/a> allows you to link both bar codes to a same product. Have in mind that there is no limitation in the number of bar codes that you can be assigned to a specific product.
